What’s Included
14 printable sheets
1 Instruction & Benefits Guide
13 letter sheets (2 letters per page)
How It Works
Each letter card is carefully designed to support correct letter formation:
Clear start and end points
A continuous yellow guide line to follow
Fun rhymes for every letter to reinforce movement and sound
Children can:
Trace letters using their finger
Progress to a wipeable pen
Practise repeatedly for confidence and mastery
This strong foundation prepares children to move on to reduced guidance and more independent writing in Sets 2 and 3.
Why It’s Effective
This resource is designed around letter formation families - groups of letters that share similar movement patterns, shapes, and starting points.
By learning letters in these groups rather than alphabetical order, children build muscle memory, reduce letter reversals, and develop more efficient handwriting skills.
Letter Families Included:
Family 1: Long Ladder Letters
Family 2: One-Armed Robot Letters
Family 3: Curly Caterpillar Letters
Family 4: Zig-Zag Monster Letters
Set 1 is designed to build strong early writing foundations by supporting:
Supports correct letter formation
Strengthens fine motor skills
Develops visual tracking and sequencing skills
Builds confidence
The larger letter format encourages children to use whole-arm movements, helping to build muscle memory. As confidence grows, children naturally transition to smaller, more controlled writing without losing correct formation.

Store sheets flat and away from direct heat or sunlight to prevent warping.
For long-lasting use, keep away from sharp objects or bending.
Adult supervision is recommended during use.
